Ghost Hunters Parody
For this final design challenge, I worked in a group of two other people to create a parody video of Ghost Hunters. This idea came easily due to CU Boulder’s supply of older buildings dating back to the late 1800s. For the video, we decided to film some ghost hunting in Old Main.
Storyboard
We first wrote out a storyboard outline for the kind of narrative we wanted to tell. The story was meant to follow the typical structure of a Ghost Hunter’s episode: the title sequence, a discussion of the ghost problem with a building expert, setting up cameras, and finally the ghost hunting experience. As it’s supposed to be a parody, we’ve added a twist to the end of the story: there was no ghost at all - it was just the building expert pretending to have a ghost problem, and while the ghost hunters were distracted, the building expert had taken that opportunity to steal all of the ghost hunters’ equipment. We collaborated with all the footage in a Google Drive folder.

These are the key frames drawn out:

Individual Video
My individual video consists of shots that I've either directed or filmed myself, along with some appropriated footage from a Ghost Hunters episode that happened to fit well with the Old Main theater setting.
Group Video
This is a compilation of our efforts as a group that follows the same - however more complete - storyboard.
