Project Close

Final project can be found on GitHub.

As I mentioned before in the adapt phase, there's a lot that goes into building an app to make sure that everything works as intended and user interaction is smooth. I've fixed the ingredient search selection and nutrition calculator from the last iteration but my project still has interaction flaws and is not ready to be released. I also just discovered that there is a usage limit to my API that allows only 500 calls per day, so I don't believe a free version of this API would be viable for the app store.

In the future I would consider adding features such as:

  • Allowing users to upload images for the recipes

  • Allowing users to add a new ingredient within the Add Recipe modal

  • Allowing users to add a custom ingredient by directly editing the nutrition table view
